Focused ultrasound (FUS) for Alzheimer's – early trial results

Small Chinese trial (n=7) – Focused ultrasound (FUS) is being studied as a non‑invasive therapy to disrupt amyloid plaques. A small trial (n=7) reported "encouraging" cognitive improvements, but results are not yet peer‑reviewed. Effects were variable; some patients relapsed. Not a cure. Years away from clinical use.
